What’s with the name ‘Pomegranate’?
First, pomegranates are delicious, beautiful and have a tough skin (needed for business leadership). When opened up, they reveal countless, meticulously packed seeds. This combination of beauty, design, and sense of wonder is what we strive for with Pomegranate Consulting.
Secondly, the rural, country property I grew up on had pomegranate trees growing wild in our yard. My brothers and I would frequently battle with pomegranate seeds outfitted in our maroon stained clothes because of the abundance of pomegranates in the fall. I always enjoy a ripe pomegranate, and even more when they were made into wine or jelly by my Dad (RIP).
How did Pomegranate Consulting begin?
For 20 years, I poured myself into a Fortune 100 Financial Institution to glean everything I could about business strategy and executive development. The firm, recognizing my strong work ethic, drive, and determination, invested in my skills and knowledge advancement leveraging the best higher education institutes, teachers, and organizations. The trajectory of my career moved quickly and I felt fortunate to be contributing to Board Room presentations and advising C-suite executives.
An insightful night at my local dive bar, the birth of my second child, and my father’s sudden passing combined to stop me in my fast-paced tracks. Within the whirlwind of emotions, I felt a yearning for something different in my professional career. I was drawn to help those with aspiring potential and share the expertise I had. By channeling this “ah-ha” moment, Pomegranate Consulting was founded. A company where I can utilize my greatest strengths to help clients ignite and pursue their passions.
